Rebecca Catalanello covers K-12 education in Pinellas County. She joined the Times in 2003, covering education in Pasco County before moving to the Tampa bureau in 2005 to write about crime. Before that, she covered education at the Mobile Press-Register and the Charleston Daily Mail in West Virginia. A native of New Orleans, La., she wrote about her hometown's flooding during Hurricane Katrina and continues to report on its rebuilding.
